SparkExperiment Privacy Policy
How SparkExperiment handles local data, Apple Health permissions, exports, imports, and deletion.

About this policy
This policy describes personal data in the SparkExperiment app. Website visits and information you choose to send to support are separate from locally stored app records.
Local-first storage
Experiments, journal entries, treatments, and SparkExperiment-generated health summaries, where applicable, are stored locally on your device.
Apple Health
Apple Health information is accessed only with your permission and is used to display health information and summaries within SparkExperiment. SparkExperiment does not modify raw Apple Health records. You control Health permissions through iOS.
Data collection
No account is required. Personal journal and experiment data is not uploaded to LJ Spark servers. SparkExperiment does not currently provide cloud synchronization. LJ Spark does not collect personal experiment, journal, or health information from the app.
Export
Export is explicitly initiated by you. Exported files may contain sensitive health-related information. You control the destination through iOS; data handling after export depends on the destination you choose.
Import
Selected SparkExperiment export files are processed to restore or merge local app data. Review the import mode and confirmation before proceeding.
Delete All Data
Go to More → Data Management → Danger Zone → Delete All Data. This deletes SparkExperiment-managed local user data. It does not delete Apple Health records or copies of files you previously exported.
Personal tracking, not medical advice
SparkExperiment supports personal tracking and observation. It does not diagnose, provide medical advice, or prescribe treatment.
Website and support communications
This website uses Cloudflare hosting with observability enabled and loads third-party fonts and styling resources. The website beta signup sends submitted email information to a Google Apps Script endpoint. These website services are separate from SparkExperiment app storage. If you email support, the information you choose to send leaves your device. Do not send personal health records.
Policy updates
Changes to this policy will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
Contact Support
For troubleshooting, send only non-sensitive details such as app version, build number, iOS version, and device model. Please do not send personal health data or export files.
