YOUR PHOTOS. YOUR STORY. YOUR BOOK.
SparkPages helps you find and gather photos with advanced filters, arrange them using flexible layouts, fine-tune crops exactly the way you want, and export a finished photo book—all on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
No account. Local projects. Optional private iCloud sync.
SparkPages keeps your projects on your devices. Sync, when enabled, stays in your own private iCloud.
How It Works
A simple path from first project to portable export.
Start a project, add a cover, chapters, and sections, then decide which photos belong on each page.
Browse and filter your photo library, drop images into page trays, apply shared layouts, and crop without touching the originals.
Render a PDF that matches the order you see, or export the whole project as a portable .sparkpages file.
SHARED LAYOUTS
Versioned layouts for one to four items, previewed in a visual gallery with explicit Apply and Cancel. The thumbnail geometry is the same geometry used on the page.
Layouts apply only to the items you select. Everything else, including your crops, stays as it is.
PROJECT STRUCTURE
Covers, chapters, standalone sections, and explicit page membership let a project follow the shape of your story instead of a fixed template.
Unorganized pages get their own actions, and PDF output follows the order shown in Pages.
Cover content and project metadata
Group pages into parts of the story
Standalone sections outside chapters
Explicit page membership and ordering
Projects
Recent, Folders, and All tabs sit beneath Projects, with photo-based project cards, pinning, folders, duplication, archiving and restoring, export, and deletion. Duplicates keep their embedded assets.
PROJECT CONTENT
A versioned JSON contract covers project metadata, cover text, chapters, sections, stable IDs, and order. Paste JSON or import a JSON file to create or update a project, with validation and a Review Changes step before anything is applied.
Create and Refine AI prompts are generated on device. No AI service calls, provider accounts, or API keys are required.
Crop
Drag to reposition, pinch to zoom, and keep one precise Zoom slider. Overflow dims, a thirds grid appears while you adjust, and Cancel, Done, Reset, and Recenter are always there.
Only the crop recipe is saved. Original photos, frames, aspect ratios, rotation, and page layout stay intact.
Privacy
SparkPages stores projects locally and, if you turn it on, synchronizes them only within your own private iCloud.
Projects, pages, layouts, crops, and settings are stored on your device with versioned local persistence.
No registration, login, or SparkPages account is needed to create and export a book.
Optional same-user private iCloud synchronization. Local work never waits on sync to finish.
Photo library access is requested through the system permission prompt and can be changed at any time.
PDF and .sparkpages exports happen only when you ask for them, and you choose where the file goes.
Your work leaves the app in formats you control.
Bring in Project Content as pasted JSON or a JSON file, or open a full portable .sparkpages project.
Export Project Content, render a PDF, or share the entire project with its embedded assets.
Validation and a Review Changes step run before updates apply, with warnings for stale content versions.
